Tarya:

First born of the First Generation. Her childhood remains a mystery, even to herself. One thing is known however, she is the most powerful humanoid creature to have ever existed. For some reason, her equanime supply seems vastly more abundant and superior. It is double the strength of her kin. She is a sorceress, though rarely utilises her skill - what she can remember of it.

As a child, she witnessed the 'Beast War' and, during the 'Defiance,' she was key in ferrying and freeing the discarded and orphaned children from the North - with the help of Guss. She was also a member of the Hervatas Guild, though is thought to be the only survivor.

She founded Cray Academy and helped develop its sorcery master class. She is an honoured, Master of the Academy.

Upon blindsiding and taking control of the South, Aygor realised Tarya's influence and power. As a result, he forced her to marry him. Whilst she protested and tried to resist, her actions only caused more problems. Over the years, she became more hindered, either due to the threats made to others, notably her children, or her own, waning physical condition. To maintain his control over her, he utilised his power and influence wherever and whenever he saw fit, both physically and emotionally. This caused her to withdraw and merely survive for the sake of her children - until the resistance grew and the spark to fight returned. Her every strengthening relationship with Christoph also helped. She was key in the resistance's success, and Aygor's eventual downfall and death. She is now trying to rebuild what is left, both of herself and the South. She is a member of the caucus.

Valan:

One of the two survivor's of the First Generation in the South. He's always shied away from the spot light and has a nervous disposition. All he really wants is a quiet life and does not like violence and conflict. He also dabbles with alchemy from time to time, though his quiet strength, that does on occasion manifest, should not be ignored. Along with Tarya, he witnessed the 'Beast War' and fought in the 'Defiance.' He also helped found Cray Academy, though he wasn't as involved in the structure and lesson planning. He prefers to get his hands dirty, being the main architect and head builder on the project. He also helped plan and build Mournside - one of the oldest towns in the South. He was also key in the resistance and is now a member of the caucus.

Gruff:

Was an adult when the First Generation were still children, and a father-figure to them all, though no-one can figure out how this is possible. He has also always feigned ignorance of his early life. Despite that, he is deeply trusted and loved throughout the South. As a result of this, though, he is not affiliated with any generation. He's been prominent in every battle and helped found Cray Academy. Whilst trying to free a group of orphans from being killed during Aygor's reign, he got beaten to the point he lost his mind. He now resides behind bars for his own protection.

Doone:

A beloved member of the Third Generation and much respected Landlord and Master Brewer. He fought in the defiance, though was never a great warrior.  Sadly, he is prone to bouts of anger. This developed after he lost his wife and son under the reign of Aygor, though he is slowly healing. Being an instrumental part of the resistance helped in this burgeoning recovery, as did the support of his closest friends, namely Guss, Starnel and Tarya. Despite all of this, he was always  a nosey old bugger, and does like a good bit of gossip. Deep down though, he has as a heart of gold  and secretly longs to find love again. He was voted into the caucus.

Christoph:

A member of the Fourth Generation. He was a child under Aygor's reign and saw his mother killed before him and grew close to Tarya after she saved his life. He worked as a kitchen boy under his mother, until he was older. When he came of age - one hundred years old (according to Aygor), he was recruited into the castle guard and taught to fight. This was a skill and position he was ultimately able to use to the betterment of the resistance.  Tarya and he are now like mother and son and he has grown into a brave young man and warrior. He has also gained the trust of the Southern folk., enough that he was voted into the caucus.

Lyden:

Of the Third Generation and originally from the North.  He has dark and twisted desires and remains a bit of a mystery.  Many believe there is far more to him than meets the eye. He was Aygor's right-hand man and exiled upon the success of the revolution.

Alvah:

He's always been an outcast and a member of the Third Generation. He came from the North, along with Lyden, though is one of the youngest in his generation.  He's also always been torn between what is right and wrong, making for mixed loyalties. In the past, he has been very close to Tarya, though they've had many disagreements - fights even. He both saves and hinders, depending on mood and conscience. One of his most redeeming factors was saving Owain from Aygor and he has raised him like a son, ever since the boy was toddling.

Taylan:

A member of the Third Generation, Master Alchemist and best friend to Alvah. He was instrumental to the building and establishing of Cray Academy. He himself is a Master and noted as one of the founding fathers of alchemy lore. He, along with Guss, were key during the technological revolution and invented a lot of its prominent technology. When Alvah saved Owain, he asked Taylan to help keep the boy safe. Living in a cave meant Taylan could also continue his practice and experimentation in alchemy. Therefore, he agreed, and helped raise Owain with Alvah.

Owain:

A younger member of the Fourth Generation. He has been raised since early childhood by Alvah and Lyden. His life had been kept a secret and he'd spent the majority of it hiding and living in a cave. Alvah taught him to fight and ride. Taylan taught him to create, invent and the basics of alchemy.  He's more proficient than people yet realise. At present, he searches for his past, unravelling much in the process.

Starnel:

A wise man who once fought along side the greatest of warriors. He was fundamental in bringing an end to the 'Thousand Year Defiance'. He has an exceptional memory and enjoys relaying ancient tales, mysteries and superstitions. He's just old enough to remember the beasts before they disappeared, being an older member of the Third Generation and believes they will return. Sadly, thanks to witnessing his wife and daughter die under Aygor's reign, and futilely trying to revive them, he became bitter and lonely, shutting most out and turning to drink. This problem has aged him beyond his years. He know looks more like the oldest of the Second Generation.  Only now his he beginning to open up a bit more. Will he find a new lease of life?

Guss:

A member of the Second Generation and one of the most well travelled of folk. He's been a tinker, a spy, and enjoys learning about life, the orb and ancient mysteries. When other's fight, he likes to take a more tactful approach, usually seeing how far he can venture behind enemy lines and seeing what mischief he can get up too. He's collected and preserved many a treasure over the years. If you are looking for something, he's your man, and it is why he now cares for and  nurtures the library. He was also the main architect and mastermind behind its construction.  He does enjoy the prospect of possibly seeing some action again.

Vali and Shoo:

Together -because they always are. Very much the South's most loved up couple. They are older members of the Fourth Generation and exiled themselves during Aygor's reign. They swore their undying love to one another and upon finding out Vali was pregnant, during the end of Aygor's reign, they chose to lead a travelling lifestyle in order to better protect their unborn child. Unusually, this child has still not been born. Normally, the gestation period is three to four years. This varies between generations. Those who procreated of the First Generation, often found themselves pregnant for six years plus. By the time it got to the Third Generation, they were usually pregnant for around four years. It concerns both that Vali has been pregnant for over five years now. But they still know the child is very much alive and kicking, and are eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

Aygor:

He may be dead, but his influence on those alive means he is still very much prevalent in everyday life.

He's a younger member of the Second Generation and came from the North during the 'Defiance' and was tasked with assessing the Southern defenses. He was meant to be a preliminary scout. However, upon discovering their weaknesses, he took the opportunity to seize power, utilising the few he found of like mind, some of whom were his aids from the North. He then set up four prison camps and imprisoned around half the population, forcing the families of some imprisoned to work for him. Thus, his reign of terror began. He forced Tarya to marry him - partially to contain her, knowing her to be his main threat. His casual regard for life, children - anything really, quickly trapped most either into a life of servitude or fear. Usually both. The resistance took the best part of a hundred years to successfully topple him. The removal of his head meant the end of his reign. The South is now in the process of recovery and rebuilding. Over a third of the South's population had been killed under Aygor's reign. His legacy was one of devastation and will forever burn in the minds of those who survived.
